Vice President Philanthropy

LifeMoves in the search for a Vice President, Philanthropy to join the organization in shaping strategies that advance capital and operating campaigns devoted to ending the cycle of homelessness and a track record developing relationships and partnerships resulting in significantly increased revenues.

As a solution-oriented, nimble and innovative nonprofit, LifeMoves offers people experiencing homelessness a temporary place to call home while providing intensive, customized case management to help adults and families return to stable housing and achieve long-term self-sufficiency. LifeMoves serves more than 9,000 men, women and children each year in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties at 26 sites, and has a staff of 300. With an annual budget of $65M, LifeMoves aims to grow annual private revenue from $20M to $25M next year. The Development Team also stewards nearly $40M in public funds. There are ambitious goals to significantly scale programs and services to meet the growing need for shelter. Public sector partners are ready to collaborate on new opportunities to grow capacity and look to LifeMoves to secure private funds.

Reporting to the Associate Chief Development Officer, the Vice President, Philanthropy will integrate into a strategic, laser-focused environment by building new relationships and stewarding current donors, resulting in six- and seven-figure gifts to fund near-term and longer-term capital projects from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
