Founded more than 60 years ago, Hope Services (“Hope”) is the Bay Area’s largest provider of services for people with developmental disabilities and improves the quality of life for more than 3500 individuals and families throughout six counties. Recognized for service innovation, Hope’s vision is to promote a common understanding that the world is a better place when people with disabilities are fully integrated into our community and culture.

The FY19 operating budget is $57M, of which approximately 63% is derived from government funding and 37% from social enterprises, contributed revenue and other sources. Hope employs approximately 650 full-time employees and another 200 part-time, temporary workers. To meet the gap between government funding and the cost to deliver programs, Hope has a number of social enterprises, including HopeTHRIFT which currently operates in three locations with plans to expand.
