m/Oppenheim Associates is assisting Child Advocates of Silicon Valley in the search for a new Executive Director who will lead the organization in significantly expanding its child advocacy services in Santa Clara County. Central to this initiative is the doubling of contributed revenue and grants by 2021. For more information, please review the complete Position Description.
The Executive Director’s primary role will be to increase the scale of the organization as it recruits, trains, retains and supports Court Appointed Special Advocates (“CASAs”) who improve the lives of children living in foster care. The Executive Director will lead the step-change into this new era through a transformation in Child Advocate’s fundraising and management. Accordingly, the Board is seeking a leader with a strong track record of raising financial support, a marketing orientation to build awareness, excellent organizational sensibilities, and an unwavering commitment to the mission of Child Advocates.
Child Advocates has a FY19 operating budget of $2.5M and a full-time staff of 26. This past fiscal year Child Advocates supported more than 900 of the 1,500 children in the Santa Clara County dependency system. Its new strategic plan is to provide a CASA for 1,200 foster children living in Santa Clara County by 2021, and ultimately to provide a CASA to every child in the system.
