Mark Oppenheim has a 30-year organizational consulting and search track record that includes managing transformation service groups for the Child Welfare Administration of New York City, Ernst & Young, Price Waterhouse, Oppenheim CMP, and the Oracle Corporation. Mark’s nonprofit clients have included performing and visual arts organizations, government entities, foundations, think tanks, institutions of higher education, social justice, environment, health, human services and social entrepreneurship organizations. He holds a BA with honors from Brandeis University and an MBA from New York University.
Lisa Grossman began her career in executive search in 1995 at Heidrick & Struggles’ San Francisco office in the Financial Services Practice where she served a number of investment banking, private equity, and venture capital clients. She then started her own firm, primarily working with early stage tech companies in the Silicon Valley, helping them to build out their teams. In 2006 Lisa joined m/Oppenheim where she leads searches in the arts and culture, social justice, technology, health and human services, education, and global development sectors, and for foundations and associations, spanning a variety CEO and executive leadership roles across the country.
Dave Santore is a veteran search consultant with 3 decades of experience serving nonprofit and corporate clients across the US. As a valued consultant to the boards and search committees of Foundations, Institutions and Associations, nonprofits focusing on Social Justice, Health & Human Services, Education & Research, Arts, Media & Culture, Environment and Conservation. Dave was formerly a Senior Systems Engineer at IBM and earned a BS Biology from Gettysburg College.
Lee Kappelman has a 30-year career focused on nonprofit management, executive search and fundraising with a strong emphasis on art, media and culture. She previously led a national search and fundraising practice, was chief advancement officer for the Baltimore Symphony, held executive positions at CBS Television and King World Entertainment; and was a literary agent with Agency for the Performing Arts and Renaissance Literary Agency in Los Angeles and New York. Lee formed CaringOn, a healthcare non-profit to enable terminal cancer patients to thank their caregivers with a day of leisure. She holds a BFA from Boston University and an MA from New York University.
Patrick Salazar has served diverse nonprofits for over 25 years, including helping the Assistance League of Los Angeles, Pacific Battleship Center, University of Utah, Pierce College, East LA Classic Theatre, the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation, among other nonprofits to raise funds and achieve management excellence. He previously served with the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea , and received the Navy Expeditionary Medal and the Meritorious Unit Commendation for service during the Iranian Hostage Crisis in 1980. He holds a BA degree in Business from the University of Utah, and an MBA with an emphasis on nonprofit management and ethics from the University of Texas at Austin.
Steven Oppenheim joined m/Oppenheim Associates after a career in news, media and publishing. An Emmy-nominated news producer, Oppenheim worked at ABC’s World News This Morning, World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, and with the nationally syndicated news magazine program Inside Edition. During his years as Vice President and Director of Publicity at G.P. Putnam’s Sons and Riverhead Books, Putnam led all publishing industry imprints in hardcover New York Times bestsellers by an overwhelming margin. He has worked across the publishing industry with scores of authors and literary figures including: Bob Woodward, Michael Beschloss, Alan Dershowitz, Seymour Hersh, Valerie Plame Wilson and many others.
Dennis Hanthorn has a 30+ year career as a performing arts CEO, during which he led and built opera companies in Atlanta, Milwaukee and Dayton. Prior to joining m/Oppenheim, he founded a consulting practice serving arts and cultural organizations locally, nationally and internationally, and also served on the Board of Directors of OPERA America, as a juror for a range of arts competitions and awards (New York’s Metropolitan Opera, Vienna’s Belvedere Competition and the MacAllister Vocal Competition), and as a panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts. He earned a Master of Music from the University of Wisconsin and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Missouri State University.
Oscar Quiros joined m/Oppenheim Associates in 2013 after having previously worked for Madbury Road as Digital Marketing consultant where he implemented the company’s digital marketing strategy. He previously worked as an IP Lawyer in Mexico City handling brands for multiple high profile international clients. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, and a Masters Degree in International Marketing from Hult International Business School in San Francisco.
Alexandra Fradelizio joined mOppenheim Associates in 2017 after serving nonprofits in Marin County. Most recently, she volunteered for the Friends of the San Rafael Public Library and The Hungry Owl Project, an extension of WildCare in San Rafael, CA. Alexandra holds an extensive background in editing, content writing, journalism, social media marketing, and community outreach. She graduated from Dominican University of California with a BA in English and an MA in Humanities.
Priscilla Rodriguez joined mOppenheim Associates in early 2016, with an extensive background in journalism, Social Media Marketing, radio, and creative content development. She has has multiple years of experience serving nonprofit organizations in Southern California. Among these, Best Buddies International, Invisible Children, Inland Empire Future Leaders, P.S. Stroke Recovery, TP Global Sustainability UCI, FoodShift, and most recently the SFMoMA. Priscilla earned her B.A. in Literary Journalism and Film Media from the University of California Irvine.
Stefan Ruenzel is an award-winning filmmaker from Oakland, CA, whose work spans across narrative, documentary, and experimental fields. He has worked as Director of Photography and Editor on a nationally syndicated travel show on PBS and currently works as a freelance producer and cinematographer in the Bay Area. Stefan joined m/Oppenheim Associates in 2009 as the Director of the INSIGHTvideo series.
Julia Pivovarova joined m/Oppenheim in 2010 and now provides excellent support for our dynamic team. Julia brings problem solving and organizational skills to the company along with 15 years of administrative experience, eight of which was spent supporting Head Start’s T/TA Network under the Department of Health and Human Services.
