MAJOR GIFTS OFFICERS
m/Oppenheim Associates is assisting San Francisco Ballet in the search for Major Gifts Officers who will identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors and prospects capable of making gifts of $15,000+ to the Ballet’s annual fundraising and endowment goals. The Major Gifts Officers’ focus is on comprehensive giving to grow unrestricted support while promoting and assisting with opportunities for targeted support to particular initiatives. The Officers will each carry a portfolio of 100+ donors and prospects, and will develop high-touch relationships so that donors’ interests are understood, connected to programs and giving opportunities that are meaningful, and that donor recognition is at the highest level. They will develop and execute new strategies to engage next gen Ballet supporters, and those who may not have an obvious connection to the art form.
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Major Gifts Officers will join a development department of approximately 16 professionals who collaborate closely on identifying and moving prospects through the stages of deepening donors’ commitment. Successful candidates will love dance and the arts, have stellar interpersonal skills, possess a kind of driven grace, be an inveterate advocate and salesperson for the San Francisco Ballet, and be results-oriented.
