The Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic seeks a proven senior fundraising professional to: diversify earned and contributed revenue, drive a capital and estate planning campaign, and increase annual operating fundraising. Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President will shape the organization’s overall fund advancement and communications strategy and oversee Advancement, Communications, Marketing and all such functions for both the Clinic and the new Policy & Training Institute. Candidates will have substantial nonprofit fundraising experience with a sizable institution, a record of personal success in soliciting very large gifts, and broad knowledge of marketing and different types of outreach to various classes of donors.
Founded in 1924, the Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic currently serves a rapidly growing population of 3,500 individuals and families in Central and South Los Angeles through three community-based centers, 20 local schools, a health center and a domestic violence shelter. Certain services are also provided in clients’ homes and in other community settings. The Clinic has an annual budget and publicly funded service contracts of $20m and a staff of over 200, and is now expanding trauma-informed mental health and counseling services to adults. New services to adults with different needs will require major changes in how programs are managed and funded, as well as infrastructure upgrades and capacity building that will affect a range of departments and facilities.
