Specializing in ADHD, learning differences, anxiety & depression, and autism, CHC’s mission is to remove barriers to learning, helping children and teens become resilient, happy and successful at home, at school and in life.  CHC strives to remove the social and emotional barriers for kids and families regardless of language, location or ability to pay.  Over the years CHC has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community and today this is accomplished through five complementary but distinct divisions.  Within these divisions are the new Teen Anxiety Initiative and Ravenswood Initiative – programs which address the immediate and growing concerns of societal health in the community.  These initiatives offer compelling entry points to engaging a new cadre of supporters and there is tremendous opportunity for CHC and the Director of Advancement to significantly increase financial support for the agency.

Children’s Health Council serves approximately 4,000 families and educators each year.  The organization has a staff of 140-145 and the annual operating budget for 2016-2017 will be around $16.9M, of which $2.3-$2.4M is contributed revenue.  The Advancement Department currently has a staff of seven.

The Director of Advancement’s primary function will be to secure transformational philanthropy by identifying, cultivating and stewarding major donors, and must have significant experience identifying and securing major gifts. The Director reports to the Executive Director who herself, is an excellent relationship builder, fundraiser and evangelist for CHC. The Director will join a well-respected, collaborative, forward-thinking Executive Team, and will provide leadership for all CHC fundraising, communications and marketing and Board of Directors’ donor relations.
