Chief Executive Officer

The organization seeks an experienced chief executive to lead CCI through its next phase of deliberate growth, upgrade the organization’s operating infrastructure to allow for expanded services nationwide, and sustain CCI’s high standards for trained service dogs, provided at no cost to people with disabilities. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide the overall leadership, direction, strategy and vision for CCI, its programs, staff, volunteers and outreach to funders and partners.

Founded in 1975, Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing them with highly-trained assistance dogs as well as ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. The organization is based in Santa Rosa, California, and is the world’s largest provider of assistance dogs to people with disabilities other than blindness.
